LOCATION

York Mills is a neighbourhood in TorontoOntarioCanada. It is centred around Yonge Street and York Mills Road located in the district of North York. In 2010, it encompassed the fourth and seventh most affluent postal codes in Canada. It is recognized as a millionaires' mile, alongside the other Toronto neighbourhoods of The BridlepathForest HillLawrence Park, and Rosedale.

 

The best way to understand the district is through four approximate quadrants. The northwest quadrant is the southern part of York Mills, particularly the district's northwest corner which is the separate neighbourhood of Hoggs Hollow. The northeast quadrant is the Bridle Path, while the southwest quadrant includes portions of the former communities of Lawrence Park and North Toronto. The southeast quadrant is occupied by Sunnybrook Park.

York Mills is an affluent neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. WINFIELDS

The Windfields neighbourhood is located on the former site of Windfields Farm, after which this neighbourhood is named. Windfields Farm was the former estate of E.P. Taylor the legendary Canadian entrepreneur and philanthropist.  

 

Windfields is a predominantly upper-middle income neighbourhood that has traditionally been popular with young families. This neighbourhood has many fine attributes including well treed streets, spacious family size houses, an abundance of parkland, a good selection of schools and convenient access to Highway 401. 

 

Most Windfields homes were built in the 1970s and 80s. The much-newer Windfields homes are typically modernist style homes ranging in size from 1,000 to 4,000 sq ft.

SUNNYBROOK

The Sunnybrook neighbourhood stretches from Highway 401 in the north to Eglinton Avenue East in the south. The eastern boundary is marked by the Don Valley Parkway. The western edge of the neighbourhood runs down Leslie from the 401 to York Mills and down Bayview from York Mills to The Bridle Path. 

Sunnybrook is a mid-priced neighbourhood. Real estate prices range from average to above average, both for renters and buyers. It is a very easy neighbourhood to drive in. The Don Valley Parkway on the eastern boundary and the 401 in the north provide fast, easy routes to other parts of the city.
